Impossible Project Becomes Possible

Polaroids are back! Woohoo! The Impossible Project, which was founded by former Polaroid engineers to keep the format alive, will be manufacturing the film and Polaroid will be manufacturing the cameras in China.

I knew they had some limited edition/overpriced ones coming as an Urban Outfitters joint, but it’s exciting that the originals are now involved and with any luck the film won’t be ridiculously $$$.

As we have created quite some buzz about Analog Instant Photography over the past 12 months, the Polaroid licensee - The Summit Global Group - now can’t resist any longer and announced at a press conference on October 13th in Hongkong that they will re-launch some of the most famous Polaroid Instant Cameras.
Therefore they are commissioning The Impossible Project to develop and produce a limited edition of Polaroid branded Instant Films in the middle of 2010.”—The Impossible Project

Black and white should be early 2010 with color coming later in the year. Dreams do come true! Build it and they will come…
